Liam’s Lunches of Love

January 20, 2019

A sixth grader has fed over 2000 homeless men and women in Cambridge, MA.  Liam Hannon makes and distributes lunches, including a handwritten message of encouragement with each [1].

Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it:  ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets” (Matt. 22: 37-40).

  1. That was powerful Anna. Testimony to the fact that right outside our doors are so many opportunities to fulfill the two great commandments upon which all the law and the prophets hang.

  2. Many years ago Anna I was attending a church that had for it’s New Year’s mission statement “Every one, reach one”, or something to that effect. When you do the math, there are far more people in America and the world who are NOT hungry than people who are. If every one of us who is NOT hungry would care for just one that was, what could be accomplished?

  3. I love this post Anna!
