Birdsong
We listen to birdsong and our hearts are filled with wonder. What are birds saying to one another? Or are they simply singing for joy?
The naturalists who study birdsong tell us that birds sing for a variety of reasons [1]. Birdsong can be used to attract and assess a potential mate, defend territory, or warn of danger.
Yet how can wild creatures craft songs of such beauty and complexity? The answer to that question is far more profound than any theory of evolution.
Their Creator provided them with survival strategies which reflect His own beauty and concern for their well-being. Their very songs point to His existence. Their praise rises to the skies.
Those who choose not to recognize this have — sadly — stopped up their ears.
“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding….
Does the hawk fly by your wisdom,
And spread its wings toward the south?
Does the eagle mount up at your command,
And make its nest on high?” (Job 38: 4, 39: 26-27).

God’s handiwork seen in His creation never ceases to amaze me.
I love the outdoors and nature. The creation is indeed evidence of the Creator.
Such lovely birds and sounds. Very peaceful. Thank you. 😍
I am so glad you see what I see, Petrina. ❤
Wunderschön diese großen und kleinen Wunder, die uns Gott geschenkt hat. Vielen lieben Dank. Ganz liebe Grüße, Marie
Danke, liebe Freundin. ❤ ❤ ❤
I noticed, right at the end, the birds even had a baptismal service! Wonderful diversity, reflecting the glory of God. Thank you.
🙂
One of the most relaxing videos I watch on Youtube is birds. I used music as a kid to drown out the pain in my heart due to the abuse by my Dad. I still sing a little, at 76 the voice is a little raspy. Blessings
Am so glad you enjoyed the post, Betty. I find great consolation in nature, as well. ❤
I was listening to a robin perched on a high rooftop recently. It was praising the Lord with all its might. That’s what the songbirds are doing when they sing. They are praising the Lord with all their heart.
Beautiful! ❤
Personally I have grown to hate birds.
I do not appreciate them waking me up at 4 0 clock every morning. For some reason I think every bird in this town likes to make their nest on our property.
Then, when one of their young one falls out of their nest they come to me and get psycho until I go and put it back. Sometimes it is hard to get any gardening done.
