Human Trafficking – Attorney Resources

According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, 10,360 individual cases of human trafficking were reported in the United States in 2021, involving over 16,000 victims [1]. Because trafficking cases are seriously underreported, chances are the true number of cases is far higher.
Not only are foreign victims trafficked into this country for labor and sexual purposes, but our own children are frequently recruited and exploited [2].
Victims can be found both in lawful and unlawful settings, including prostitution and drug rings, massage parlors, sweat shops, farms, hotels, restaurants, and domestic service.
Surely, Christ weeps for these forsaken men, women, and children.
The Christian Legal Society clsnet.org has compiled multiple resources (including webinars) for attorneys interested in preventing human trafficking, and/or defending victims in situations ranging from criminal prosecution to deportation.

Es ist sehr traurig, dass es noch immer wieder zahllose Opfer von Menschenhandel gibt. Man kann sich nicht vorstellen, wass diese armen Menschenkinder erdulden müssen. Die Hotline für die Opfer ist immerhin eine kleine Hilfe, eine Hoffnung, dass den Opfern geholfen wird und sie nicht allein gelassen werden.
Es ist gut und sehr mutig, dass Du immer wieder die Fakten darlegst.

Have these resources been personally checked out? There has been minimal assistance provided from these sources by my personal experience, just another layer of informational release with unknown use.
I am no longer in active practice, so have not verified all these sources firsthand. If you have not found them helpful, you should most definitely inform the Christian Legal Society. I am sure that organization would appreciate your feedback. I would certainly agree that there are not enough attorneys providing pro bono legal services.
