Globalism and the New World Order, Part 1

Globalism is an ideology which emphasizes the need for coordinated global solutions to complex problems like climate change, pandemics, migration, and nuclear disarmament [1][2]. It has been gradually gaining in popularity since 1938, with the aim of establishing a liberal international order or what is more commonly termed a New World Order [3]. Thousands of articles can be found on this topic.
Past Empires
There have been empires which sought to rule the world in the past. These included the Persians under Cyrus, the Greeks under Alexander, the Romans, the Mongols under Genghis Khan, the Ottomans, the Spanish, the British, the Russians under the Tsars, and the French under Napoleon [4].
Not all those who refer to a New World Order, of course, have in mind the establishment of a one world government.
Tragically, however, the history of the world demonstrates that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Centralized power (no matter how idealistic its original intent) eventually devolves into authoritarian rule. The “sin nature” of mankind is inescapable.
Infrastructure
Historically, the processes which integrated the world politically, economically, and socially were conquest, trade, communication, and cultural exchange [5]. Today though a digital infrastructure is in place to facilitate globalization which did not exist in the past.
This includes central bank digital currencies (allowing for worldwide financial integration); a centralized digital identity framework; biometric payments; massive data centers; electronic surveillance systems, with facial recognition and predictive policing supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI); international regulations with global compliance standards; and coordinated governance across what were once national borders [6].
The World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the World Economic Forum, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the World Trade Organization, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the International Criminal Court all illustrate this, as do the European Union and the United Nations (particularly in its 2030 Agenda) [7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14].
None of these organizations is secretive or the product of a conspiracy theorist’s fevered imagination.
Potential Threat
While it may not at first blush seem that these technologic advances or international organizations pose a threat, they are today capable of unprecedented levels of monitoring and behavioral control. It would require but a small step for a central authority to regulate all purchases of food, fuel, and medicine; limit geographic spending; and force conformity with ideologic mandates by freezing accounts.

Well said. We got a sneak peek into how quickly a central authority can “regulate all purchases of food, fuel, and medicine” during COVID in my state. Canada got to see how easy it was to, “force conformity with ideologic mandates by freezing accounts.” I can literally happen overnight.

Great post Anna. There can be little doubt that the world is moving towards a complete digital makeover where every dollar spent is tracked and every movement is captured on video. All of this, of course, is to pave the way for the “Beast system” which will require everyone to accept his mark or number to buy and sell. As you point out-he who controls the food controls mankind.
What is most frightening to me however is the numbers of people who simply refuse to believe such a thing could, or will happen.
Truly, there is great blindness in the world.

The World Economic Forum decided that water is not a human right. Can’t get more sinister than that.
That’s astounding.
This reminds me of Aslan’s warning to the children in the last chapter of C. S. Lewis’ “The Magician’s Nephew” when Aslan warns that soon the world would be ruled by tyrants with no regard for joy, justice or mercy.”
As followers of Christ, we must live w/ a courage in a world growing darker. He is the Light of the world.

To my understanding, centralization of almost any kind can simplify control in the short term. In the long term, however, it can also amplify the consequences of individual mistakes, because an error at the center propagates through an increasingly large and interconnected system.
Paradoxically, the larger such a system becomes, the more deceptive its apparent simplicity can be. From the outside, it may still look neatly organized and centrally controlled, while underneath it grows increasingly complex, with countless dependencies and feedback loops making its actual behavior progressively harder to predict.
In the end, such systems tend to become de facto decentralized anyway—either peacefully, through deliberate delegation and adaptation, or destructively, when the center can no longer effectively manage the complexity it has accumulated.

Absolute power, I suspect, is disproportionately sought by those of lesser wisdom, because it takes a certain lack of wisdom to believe that one person can understand, predict, and control everything. The wiser one becomes, the more conscious one tends to be of the limits of one’s own knowledge—and therefore of the dangers inherent in concentrating too much power in any single pair of hands.
A very wise observation. But the hunger for power is not driven by wisdom.
